By optimizing thermal tooling, conformal cooling enables:

• cycle times to be improved by up to 50%
• component quality to be improved (appearance, dimensions, mechanical resistance, etc.)
• substitution of copper-based alloys in tools

Maraging steel (Z38CDV5 equivalent) has the required mechanical qualities for integration in series-production tools. 

PEP has two fusion powder machines, enabling it to meet the requirements of the plastics engineering industry, as well as produce direct metal components for the aeronautics, medical and horology markets.
