Materials Expertise

PEP provides expertise and technical facilities in response to all thermoplastics issues (formulation, compounding, injection, characterization, etc.).

In particular, PEP's experts respond to requirements for:

• Advice about materials research or substitution, according to the specifications
• Compounding, recycling and regeneration
• Material processability (injecting plates, specimens or components)
• Analysis and characterizations (physico-chemical, rheological, thermal, mechanical, ageing)

PEP's testing centre facilities (lien vers plate forme) include a twin-screw compounder, analysis laboratory and access to materials databases.

PEP also has significant expertise in eco-polymers (biosourced materials, materials with natural- fibre fillers, recycled materials). 

Samples of these innovative materials are accessible via theMatériautech and the Plastic Ecodesign Center. These tools have been co-developed with Allizé Plasturgie and provide help for choosing materials, especially via a sense-based approach.
