Laboratory
PEP's analysis laboratory is a testing, expertise and advice service for the plastics engineering industry.
PEP's laboratory respects the confidentiality of work confided to it, and carries out mechanical, thermal, rheological, physico-chemical and spectromical analysis.
Its main areas of intervention can be defined according to 3 briefs:
- Polymers analysis and characterization. We respond to our clients by carrying out quality control upon delivery of raw materials or components, during checks to see if plastics conform to technical files, or when establishing formulations for materials,
- Expertise in faulty plastic components (faults that appear during component transformation or use). This expertise requires proven methodology and all of PEP's expertise in the following areas: materials, design, transformation, etc,
- Validation of operational specifications. Components are tested (mechanical, thermal, ageing tests, etc.) exactly as they are to be used. This is the product's final approval stage before manufacture and introduction onto the market. Every market (car, sport and leisure, industrial plant, etc.) is turning to PEP's laboratory. Since 2002, we have also held a Renault Self approval facility for approximately thirty car-component testing techniques.
The PEP is also strengthening its skills and expertise of failure and control through a x-ray tomography machine available on site.
The technical facilities of PEP's laboratory are coupled with the facilities at the INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) laboratory on the Oyonnax Lyon site. This collaboration is enabling us to optimize equipment use to serve our clients.
